Author of MattersduMonde (MdM), Ana Bow-Bertrand is an English Literature graduate from the University of Cambridge; formerly a medical student at University College London returning there to complete a Masters in Global Health and Development in 2016.
Interested in health and development communications, she is a keen editor, some-time poet, visual arts dabbler and hispanic aficionado. She is also currently Communications Manager for the Young Lives study at the University of Oxford, formerly Media and Press Officer at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, Lepra Communications Editor and Press Officer at Polygeia, and a Global Health Ambassador with Selfless.
MattersduMonde’s virtual pages are filled with commentary, exploration and research into determinants of health across the world and seeks to add to, challenge, and highlight the very vibrant discussion that exists in the international health sector.
Fundamentally, these writings are inspired by the simple but overwhelmingly strong passions Bertrand Russell identified as governing his life: ‘the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and the unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind’.
